“Voted Best Botox Injector in Atlanta by CBS News, Jezebel and others!”
THOSE WRINKLES HAVE GOT TO GO! WHO WANTS THEM?
Every time you smile, cry, frown, or laugh, your facial muscles show the contractions that will lead to facial wrinkles. Although wrinkles and facial lines are an important part of showing facial expressions, they can sometimes be quite revealing! Who wants to have a face that looks sad, angry, tired, or concerned at rest, especially when you are not having that emotion? Today’s injectable neuromodulators, including Botox® Cosmetic, Xeomin®, and Dysport®, can control excessive creasing in the forehead, between the eyebrows, and in the crow’s feet areas.
Physicians Aesthetics is an Allergan Platinum Plus Provider, recognized as a leader in the use of Allergan products such as Botox®, Botox® Cosmetic, and Juvederm®. We have over fifteen years of experience injecting and believe there is definitely an “Art of Botox.”
WHAT MAKES BOTOX® COSMETIC WORK?
Botox® is a prescription drug that is injected into specific “muscles of facial expression” to temporarily lessen or stop undesired muscle movement, which in turn limits creasing in the over-lying skin and relaxing of the muscles for those undesired facial expressions. The most commonly injected areas include the glabella, the area between the brows, wrinkles around the eyes or crows feet, and the forehead muscles, and many patients opt for leaving some wrinkles, especially around the eyes, for a more natural appearance. Botox ® can lessen the need for other procedures if done on a frequent and regular basis by an advanced, well-trained injector. If you are a healthcare professional and wish to learn to inject, please visit our school, Physicians Aesthetics Academy, for more information. Dr. Atkins is a local favorite and is recognized for her expertise.
WHAT MAKES BOTOX® COSMETIC WORK?
It is likely that you have been squinting and scowling for much of your life. For most, this will result in furrow lines and creases. Unfortunately, as time goes by, what started as fine wrinkles will become fixed, deep creases even when you’re not moving your face. Botox® Cosmetic may be a great choice in preventing those deep lines and creases from appearing. With the consistent use of Botox®, you can stay ahead of the curve and prevent further creases from forming!
CAN YOU STILL MAKE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS AFTER GETTING BOTOX® COSMETIC?
Of course you can! With a skilled injector such as Dr. Debra Atkins, you should expect your wrinkles and lines in the treated areas to appear softer and more relaxed than before. The results will be visible and the goal should be to have your friends asking if you’ve been on vacation, since you appear so relaxed! There will be a temporary reduction of muscle activity that causes moderate to severe frowns, and if you don’t like the results, it goes back to the baseline in about three months!
WHAT QUALITY OF BOTOX® AND BOTOX® COSMETIC DOES PHYSICIANS AESTHETICS USE?
Physicians Aesthetics only uses Botox® that has been officially authorized by Allergan for use in the United States. Dr. Debra Atkins is one of few that has been recognized by Allergan, the makers of Botox®, Juvederm® and Kybella®, Skin Medica as a Medical Facial Aesthetic Trainer and Speaker. When considering your next injection, be aware of practices using illegal Botox. Do your research and ask your doctor important questions such as, “Where do you get your Botox®?”.
HOW QUICKLY DOES IT WORK AND HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?
You will see results within 7-10 days that will last 3-4 months before the need for re-injection. At Physicians Aesthetics, we book a follow-up appointment for each injectable patient about 14 days after their initial appointment because we want every patient to love the results! Ask us at check out how to save an additional $10 on your next visit.
WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT FEEL LIKE?
Cosmetic Botox® is a simple and safe procedure. Our trained physicians use a tiny needle to place the liquid that contains Botox below the skin, very precisely, into several different locations on the face. The needle is so small most people do not complain of discomfort. If however, you are the sensitive type we offer topical numbing agents.
DO YOU HAVE SWEATY UNDERARMS, HANDS, OR FEET (HYPERHIDROSIS)?
Botox® has been demonstrated to reduce annoying sweating on the hands, feet, and underarms. Injections in these areas can improve sweating for up to a year, giving you the freedom to live more and worry less. The insurance specialists at Physicians Aesthetics will work with your insurance company to obtain coverage for medically necessary treatments of hyperhidrosis.
DO YOU SUFFER FROM TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT DISORDERS (TMJ/TMD)?
Botox® can fix that! Dr. Debra Atkins combines her vast knowledge of facial anatomy and experience as a “Best Botox® Injector” to help patients suffering from TMJ and associated jaw tension and pain. When injected into facial muscles afflicted with pain and soreness, Botox® alleviates TMJ and jaw tension. Our patients have experienced amazing results including eliminated headaches resulting from teeth grinding, painful jaw, and severe mandibular pain. Botox® has even been used to minimize lock jaw! Don’t live with TMJ, let Dr. Debra Atkins help you!
WHAT LIMITATIONS DO I HAVE AFTERWARDS?
Very little, you can drive yourself home or back to the office. Some patients experience a slight temporary bruising at the injection site, very unusual in Dr. Atkins’ hands, but with the help of our aestheticians, this can be covered with make-up. We also ask that you not get pregnant, nurse babies, or bend quickly in exercises for four hours after treatment.
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?
Temporary bruising is the most common. We hear from patients that have been injected at “parties” or by inexperienced injectors that their eyebrows drop or sag. This is rare at Physicians Aesthetics, and we have the experience to prove it!
